Lt Gen (retd) Tejinder Singh was arrested on Monday on orders by a Delhi court which dismissed his bail plea for allegedly offering Rs 14-crore bribe to then Army Chief Gen V K Singh for clearing file pertaining to procurement of 1,676 heavy mobility Tatra vehicles.
The Delhi high court on Tuesday sought a response from the Central Bureau of Investigation on a bail plea of Lt Gen (retd) Tejinder Singh who was arrested for allegedly offering Rs 14 crore bribe to the then army chief General V K Singh for clearing file pertaining to procurement of Tatra all-terrain vehicles.
Former army officer Tejinder Singh, who was arrested on Monday, was on Friday granted bail by the Delhi high court in the case relating to his alleged offer of Rs 14 crore bribe to the then Army Chief Gen V K Singh for clearing file for procurement of Tatra all-terrain vehicles.
The Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday filed its chargesheet against Lt Gen (retd) Tejinder Singh for allegedly offering a bribe of Rs 14 crore to the then Army Chief V K Singh, who is now a Union minister, in connection with the Tatra truck deal.
A local court on Thursday dismissed the case of alleged blasphemy against Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and hurting sentiments of Sikhs in 2007. District and Sessions Judge Tejinder Singh accepted the report submitted by the state seeking dismissal of the case.
